China Town (Woodhouse) - Kat Buckley -

Rating:

We were told our [takeaway] order would be 40 minutes. After it had gone half an hour past the delivery time I phoned to chase it. The lady I spoke to took my details, i.e. address and order time, but not my phone number, and put the phone down on me.

I phoned back and was told that it would be at least another 15 minutes, as the kitchen was busy. As I put the phone down and there was a knock at the door; the food was here. This gave little credence to what the lady had said.

The food was cold and one of the sauces contained peppers, which we had stated an allergy to.

Amraj (Beighton) - Samantha Drennan -

Rating:

This restaurant is nicely decorated, with welcoming staff who will go out of their way to suit your request. Food was excellent, we wasn't rushed and the waiters were obliging.

Baan Thai (City Centre) - Sohel Azam -

Rating:

Probably one of the best Thai restaurants. The ambience is a bit archaic but the food is great. Very polite staff, prompt and good service, highly recommended.

Street Food Chef (City Centre) - Julie Glasel -

Rating:

Really quick and friendly service, delicious food, really affordable. What more can you ask?

The last time I had a small Chicken Mole Burrito, which came with salsa (and you can choose your strength, medium/hot) creamy dip and choice of cheese or beans. Lovely flavours. I ate it in the Peace Gardens, just across the road.

Zizzi (City Centre) - Jeff Lorino -

Rating:

Their pizzas are beautifully baked, just like in Italy. However, presumably to suit British taste, they don't seem to put any salt or garlic on them! Could be a winner otherwise...

Cosmo (City Centre) - Misa Ueno -

Rating:

I went to there at night on ordinary days. Our group is 6 people.

I could enter in soon. I didn't have to stand in a line.

Cosmo's form is buffet, so they have many dishes. Any of the food are good and just so so.

A clerk is friendly.

A grill service so good and exciting.

I could choose food, beef, squid, scallop and so on.

I had enjoyed it.

I think that I want to go lunch time next.

Zizzi (City Centre) - Rikiya O -

Rating:

I went to Zizzi. This restaurant has many kind of pizza, pasta and other. The Margherita of this restaurant was very delicious. And I was able to relax because the atmosphere of this place is so good.

Therefore I recommend that visitors try to go with a lover and a favourite person. If I can say luxury, this restaurant had better to increase the number of staff. They were worked very busy. I have a feeling that their service was not careful to all customers.

Thank you.

Cosmo (City Centre) - Tomoko Iwata -

Rating:

I went there on Friday night, so I thought there would be many people and clerks were so busy. Actually, it was true, however, we didn't wait at all, and service was very smooth and quick.

It was very great. There were a lot of cuisines, such as Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Italian and so on. All were so delicious! Especially, I think Japanese cuisine were very good. Because the tastes were very similar with them in Japan. I thought sushi in UK was not so delicious. But it wasn't! I am Japanese.

I had organised a family birthday surprise. From enquiry to the actual night, the staff were superb, very accommodating.

The food was fantastic, very tasty, especially the burnt ends wow. Highly recommended. Great place, will be going back, very soon.

Kurdistan (Burngreave) - Shwan Kaka -

Rating:

It was lovely food, as I had before in Kurdistan. Friendly staff, nice service, all kind of Kurdish food. It is our weekly visit with international staff.

Marco's New York Italian (City Centre) - Vincent Pye -

Rating:

Groupon deals restricted to poor menu.

Very overpriced for a mediocre restaurant.

Food reasonable but nothing to recommend to friends.

Glass of cheap Italian Prosecco (175ml) £6. Oh, come on!

Try the Devonshire Arms at Middle Handley, far superior and less expensive.

Mamma Mia Pepe (Hillsborough) - William Wood -

Rating:

Visited Friday June 20th 2014. Terrible - blanched asparagus with Parma ham layered on top with a bit of cheese. Then unseasoned chicken wallowed in a bland sauce.

So over-priced its unreal. So-called Amazon deal. It would have been cheaper to pay full price off the menu and not the Amazon deal plus supplement.

Complete rip-off. 1 star is too much.

Koh-I-Noor (Handsworth) - Joanne Oliver -

Rating:

Very disappointed. Lamb pasanda tasted and looked like curdled tomato soup and cream, no flavour.

Owner's relatives' kids running around restaurant the whole time, very off-putting.

Asked for lime and lemonade drink, got pink lemonade that tasted like Asda's own!

Will not be going again.

Patoo (Hunters Bar) - Joel Bancroft -

Rating:

I went last night for the first and last time!

The food was average at best and the staff were rude!

All Siam is without a doubt the Thai to go to on Ecclesall Road.

Fairways Inn (Birley Wood) - Taylo Ringrose -

Rating:

Trying to book for father's day, what a nightmare. First told they are only taking bookings for 12PM or 5PM, both strange times. First one is practically breakfast, the other too late.

Then I decided to book for 3 people, only to be told that they won't take a booking for under 5 people.

Customer service not good, won't bother at all.
