Just eaten for the nth time at this excellent restaurant, definitely the best Italian restaurant I have visited in the city in my thirty years here. Always novel, delicious dishes, excellent wines, reasonably priced, good service. And you can park!

Food was reasonably tasty. Depending on what you ordered, some dishes were rather small. Cocktails were decent.

However, service started off as slow, and soon deteriorated into nonexistent. We never got offered the option of the dessert menu, only had half our plates cleared away, and were only brought the bill when we made it obvious we were about to give up and walk out. Shame, as it has the potential to be a great place.

Absolutely no issues with this restaurant. Local person that uses it for takeaways and eating in. Great service. Brilliant food. Would highly recommend a visit. You will not be disappointed. Been tonight and had a great family meal at a great price.

We have been coming to this restaurant since 2007 and until last year both food and service were excellent. On our last visit in June 2018 our experience was extremely unsatisfactory. We decided to try again last night and we're pleased to note a significant improvement. The a la carte menu had returned, we are not fans of the all-you-can-eat for £10. The restaurant looked lovely, probably decorated to celebrate Chinese New Year. We will definitely be returning.

We have eaten many times at Akbar's, as we live close by. The food is excellent, and for us the service has always been good. It has been a bit slow at times, but we have never seen any of the rudeness as above.

If you like tasty Indian food you need look no further than here, for a real delight. I am on my way there now as soon as the doors open, which was the reason I visited this site to check the earliest opening time.

Don't be put off by some of the comments because that has not been my experience at all, just give them a try and judge for yourselves.

Went to Swallownest Elmwood today.

Waited for around 10 minutes for a drink. Saw the manager and quite a number of staff flitting around. Asked the manager if anyone was going to be serving at the bar today. She replied that she had a low level of staff today (Valentine's Day). I said well we have been waiting a while to be served and several people got fed up of waiting and just walked out.

Eventually we were served. Went a little while later for another drink, was charged for two drinks, was only given one! Eventually saw another member of staff, who finally gave us the remainder of our drinks order.

When we went to eat, we were told we could only eat in the far end of the restaurant, where the children's screaming area is, as all other tables were reserved (we were told by another customer, they had been setting the reserved tables up for 3 hours).

We eventually got a dirty table that we cleaned ourselves and ordered our food. Thankfully there were no issues with that.

Not normally someone who writes negative reviews, but I think they truly deserve a mention.

Please go here if you wish to dehydrate and waste your life waiting for bar staff who would rather faff around, than serve the customers who pay their wages!

Absolutely had a great meal, perfect. Had a while to wait but the meal was worth waiting for.

Went to the bar to order drinks. Asked for a orange juice and was given orange cordial. Then we ordered 2 big plate all day breakfasts and there was no mushrooms and no tomato. The eggs were hard and the sausages weren't cooked properly. Then asked for brown sauce and was told they had run out. Wasn't too pleased with the experience!

My husband and myself was celebrating our birthdays.

We went for a meal at this pub that we haven't been in for about 10 years. The place was empty apart from 2 young women with toddlers.

We went to the bar and ordered our drinks & food. The woman behind the bar asked where were we sitting. I headed off to the restaurant to find a table number where we were going to sit, and the bar lady said no you can't sit in the restaurant (it was empty). Other people came in the bar with dogs sat near us, then 2 ladies went into the restaurant, sat down, and one of the bar staff went over and took their order! Would love to know why we had to sit with the dog walkers.

My parents, my boys and I went to dinner at Mamma Mia Pepe. We had such a good time. Food is delicious, service excellent, owner recommend a very good wine. This place is very clean and antique.

Fantastic meal at Urban Choola this evening. Amazing starters and mains. All food was delicious and came out hot. The service was excellent and we were looked after really well by staff. The owner of this restaurant was extremely friendly and welcoming and took the time to stop and chat and check himself that everything with the food and service was OK. The tables were cleared efficiently and the prices are fantastic for the portion size you get.

Nothing but positive feedback. This place is brilliant.

Massive let down. Meat of mixed grill was undercooked. Chips clearly reheats. X2 dishes ordered and frankly well below par.

Not had an issue before, but tonight I have unfinished food and a gastric upset. I'll not be using this restaurant again. I think the standards have dropped since the last time I ordered, which would've got 4 star. Order with caution.

Best family restaurant in Sheffield. We have been going for 5 years in this cosy and comfortable restaurant. Great atmosphere, delicious food. A special menu Tuesday - Thursday is great.

A must if you are eating out in Sheffield, 5 star service every time. Best Indian food in the UK by a long way, owner is the driving force and often is front of house meeting and greeting you. Keep up the good work, I'll be back next week!

Having visited the Caribbean several times I was excited to try Turtle Bay in Sheffield. It was not too busy but our table wasn't ready until 9:30pm, and no apology or explanation.

The first drinks at the bar were dreadful, with flat mixers from a pump and no normal tonic for G&T.

Food took over 30 minutes for starters to arrive, they missed the duck rolls off the order. Mains were all OK but the overall service and experience had ruined it.

Would expect better from a chain with 40 outlets, a real shame.

Ordered food at 7pm tonight and turned up with only half of my order. Meal turned up 8:25pm, then I had to wait for the rest of my order. It arrived at 9:05pm.

We have been using Akhtars for a few years now. We eat out there and sometimes have two home deliveries a week. This is not our first time with missing food, it's about 8 times. So I won't be using them again.

Truly spoilt my tonight meal with the hubby.The rest of the food was too cold, so it went in the bin. In total I had to wait 2 hours for my meal.

Sent incorrect rice with order. Rang up and passed to manager. Asked for refund for the difference and response was "they were busy now and I had to ring back later"! This response was not acceptable.
