A Home Office-led raid on Shapla restaurant on Cumberland Street in Sheffield city centre resulted in 5 arrests for various offences. Immigration enforcement officers were looking for immigrants unable to legally work in the UK and those living in the country illegally, with a view to deporting them. Three Bangladeshi men were arrested for immigration offences and two other men were arrested on suspicion of knowingly employing illegal workers. Employers found to be using illegal labour face fines of up to £10,000.
We have removed Polonium restaurant, formerly of 127-129 Abbeydale Road, Sharrow, from our website because it has closed down. We will add its replacement, A Yaso Spice, shortly.
