The ever popular Latin and jazz vocalist Sally Doherty returns to La Mama. A renowned singer-songwriter who has performed nationwide and throughout Europe, Sally will this evening perform songs from her impressive Latin and jazz repertoire.

Inspired by such jazz singers as Chet Baker, Nina Simone and Billy Holiday and Brazilian singers João Gilberto, Elis Regina and Maria Creuza, Sally will be performing Brazilian Bossa Nova and Samba, Mexican and Cuban Boleros, amongst other Latin American and jazz styles.

Music from 7pm.

La Mama is 10 years old!

This year La Mama is 10 years old, and what a journey it has been. I would like to thank all of my staff old and new for all of your hard work and to all my customers for your support and custom. If it wasn't for you this wouldn’t have been possible! To help celebrate and show our appreciation La Mama is hosting a charity event for the British Red Cross, which is a charity close to my heart.

The Red Cross has helped millions of people worldwide in conflict areas, supporting refugees, helping after a natural disaster and much much more. It was one of the charities that helped my mother leave Chile during the Chilean coup. If it wasn't for the Red Cross I would not have been here today.

The event will be hosted at La Mama on Saturday 19th October from 7pm with a banquet of tapas and live Latin American music. All ticket sales will go to the Red Cross with further fundraising in the evening. You can purchase your tickets at La Mama or via email at lamama.reservations@gmail.com. Tickets are £25 per person and include one drink, a tapas selection and live music. We have limited availability so please do book early.

We have launched a new menu and we are very excited to share it with you. All the favourites are there but with some new fantastic dishes too. Furthermore we now have Mahou draft beer on tap and a new range of cocktails. All change at La Mama... be sure to call in and visit!
