The Garrison is a historic venue with excellent character. Dine in the surrounds of the military barracks built in 1854, packed with stone turrets, real original brickwork and even the old cells from the wartime.
We pride ourselves on serving traditional quality dishes of British cuisine. We aspire to serve well-presented dishes combined with a smooth service. We advise bookings for Sundays prior to dining.
We offer bar meals at good value throughout the week and weekend, serving cask ales and Heineken Extra Cold on tap, along with a wide range of gins.
Monday - Saturday: 12PM - 9:15PM
Sunday: 12:30PM - 5PM (then selected menu until 7PM)
Last seating: 9:15PM and 7PM, respectively.
Two courses for £12.95, Monday - Saturday.

Superb value, well-presented food with friendly, local staff in a castle-like building. A surprising drinks offering with local cask, fruit gins, and modern whiskey malts.
Would recommend, and return again.
