A friend and I visited this restaurant recently. We had been there about a month earlier and really enjoyed the food and service. Sadly the second time we visited wasn't as good.

We arrived at midnight and asked if they were still open. They were very welcoming and seated us. However, throughout the meal one of the waiters was pacing up and down, making us feel quite uncomfortable.

Halfway through the meal another waiter interrupted us to ask if we would be using the ladies... taken aback we both said no. A couple of minutes later there was an overpowering smell of bleach, which rather put us off our meal. The final straw came when another waiter started hoovering the lower level of the restaurant.

On a positive note the food was excellent, but the service atrocious!

Due to the bad weather we couldn't get to our regular Indian restaurant so we tried Dilshad in Woodseats for the first time and were not disappointed. The decor was pleasant and the service was good. We shared a Tandoori platter to start, which was very nice (although the lamb was a little tough). My wife had a chicken Balti for main and I had a chicken Bhuna - both were excellent and very large portions. The rice and naan breads were also good. In our experience some Indian restaurants can be expensive but overall the meal was reasonably priced and good quality food. We would definitely go back.

The first Indian restaurant I ever went to 10 years ago, and still my firm favourite!

Friendly relaxed atmosphere, a take out service, and its finest quality, EXCELLENT food!

Try it. You will never look back.
