The Oak is a lovely warm pub with very attentive landlord and landlady. The hours of opening are different to any in the your information, as it only opens for tea Tuesday through Friday at 4PM, 2:30PM Saturday and 12PM Sunday, for the best Sunday lunch I've had. It's all fresh veggies and real mash spuds with a choice of meats. Value for money at £7 for large and £4.50 for small.

The beer and lager are always good with a choice of Smiths, Fosters, Kronenbourg, Amstel served in ice cold glasses, Theakston, Guinness, cider. I suggest a visit. Keep an eye on their notice board for live bands as well.
