Live Latin Salsa band this Christmas Eve:
We are extremely pleased to have Son Para Todos providing us with superb live music entertainment this Christmas Eve. A hugely popular Latin band not only in Sheffield but throughout the country, their music combines the essence of all Latin American styles into a rich tapestry of creativity and energy. Son Para Todos perform with accompanying pianist from 5PM until 8PM.
New Years Eve -live rumba flamenca fiesta:
We have a real treat lined up for our New Years Eve party this year - live rumba flamenca dancing. Influenced by Cuban rhythms, bulerias and tango flamenco whilst accompanied by guitar, clapping and the cajon, dancer Irene Tormo is sure to give a vibrant, energetic and memorable performance. La Mama restaurant at 238 Abbeydale Road has announced a number of live music nights for December 2011:
December 7th - Michael J Tinker - ever popular at La Mama, sublime musical entertainer Michael performs his festive take on the blues/Americana/jazz sound, ably assisted by harmonic partner 'Washboard Pete'.
December 14th - Son Para Todos - extremely popular Sheffield Latin band who expertly craft Latin rhythms with Columbian salsa, Spanish flamenco and Cuban son.
December 21st - The Broken Strings - Tom from The Broken Strings performs his take on flamenco, a sound perfected through recent travels and experiences in Latin America - a real treat to see - don't miss.
December 24th - Son Para Todos - returning this Christmas Eve with accompanying pianist, Son Para Todos are sure to get us all in the Christmas Latin spirit. Feliz Navidad.
