The team behind popular Sheffield restaurant The Milestone are set to expand into the city centre this December. Co-owners Matt Bigland and Marc Sheldon plan to reopen the recently-closed Wig & Pen restaurant on Campo Lane before Christmas to test recipes and menus. The pair then plan to close for refurbishment in January and relaunch under The Milestone branding to coincide with the original venue's fourth birthday.

We have added a basic listing for Orchid restaurant at 217-219 London Road, Heeley. Orchid has replaced the previous Thia restaurant on the site, Siam Inter Thai.

Almas Brasserie, Dore, has been awarded 5 stars at the prestigious British Curry Awards 2010 for the second consecutive year in a row. The star-studded event was held on Sunday 21st November 2010 at the Great Room, Grosvenor Hotel, Park Lane, London.

Almas Brasserie was the only restaurant from South Yorkshire to be selected to receive an award.

We have added a basic listing for Patoo restaurant at 607-609 Ecclesall Road, Hunters Bar. Patoo serves Thai food.

The Milestone restaurant at Kelham Island impressed award-winning TV chef Gordon Ramsay when the gastro pub competed in Ramsay's "Best Restaurant" competition. The Milestone reached the semi-finals but lost out to Bradford vegetarian Indian restaurant Prashad.

We have added a basic listing for Chaman Grill Balti restaurant of 51-53 Wicker just outside the centre of Sheffield. Chaman Grill Balti serves Balti and Indian dishes.

We have removed Roti restaurant, formerly of 51-53 Wicker and replaced it with its successor, Chaman Grill Balti.

We have removed 360 Bar & Eatery, formerly of 15 West One Plaza, city centre, from our website. Although the venue is still open, its format has changed to a party venue rather than a restaurant.
